Back in summer I started a baby quilt / play mat for my friend.
I used the 4″ squares that I cut but haven’t used up in my parents Autumn Plus Quilt. I cut more than needed back then just to have precut squares when I need to make something quick and am not in the mood to cut in fabrics.
My friend prefers kind of ‘organized looking’ layout, so I decided to insert 9 center blocks using some pretty patterns I hope babys would love.
After that I arranged the colourful squares around the center blocks. Creative puzzle work again.
Squares sorted, numbered, piled up and ready for turning them into a quilt top.
Quilt top finished. So bright and cheerful!
Ready for quilting.
