One of my twins is going to play the main role in the Christmas school play. She is going to be the snow fairy.
This February my girls wanted to be Elsa of Frozen on the school carnival. I’ve had already bought the materials and started sewing the dresses when both of them caught flu and couldn’t participate on the event. I put the half made dresses aside and assured them that they can wear the costumes next year.
Then Christmas time came and the theatre study circle have been preparing for the annual play. The teacher casted Daughter to be the snow fairy.
How lucky I am that I have a half made dress and not have to make an entirely new outfit in these busy days. Only the underskirt is missing here.
The top is made from a simple white long sleeved top, from a second hand shop, upon I hand sewed a tube of blue leotard fabric.
We decorated the top with self-adhesive plastic strasses from the thrift store.
The skirt is from a blue-silver fabric I received just last week from an old lady who doesn’t sew anymore. I think I couldn’t choose any better fabric for this purpose if I went to a fabric shop.
The upper skirt is made of white and blue tulle.
The self-adhesive strasses fell down due to the moving in the stretching top so I put them on only right before the play starts.
